00:00 In this week’s CCJ’s Tech Shorts, a TMS provider has rolled out new features, and two Fleetworthy companies have integrated with other trucking technology vendors.

00:22 TMS provider BeyondTrucks has launched three new features for load planners and dispatchers.

The first is predictive ETA. Learning from every mile driven, this feature considers factors like traffic patterns, road speed and dwell times to generate accurate delivery estimates and automatically alert dispatchers when delays threaten delivery windows.

The second is a smart duration display. Using historical data and real-time conditions, the BeyondTrucks TMS now shows precise load durations for custom-defined lanes or based on a fleet’s settings. Bringing a higher level of intelligence, load duration display for dispatching drives load planning and coordination efficiency that leads to better asset utilization and improved driver satisfaction with more realistic schedules.

And third is dynamic rate management. By tracking billable time from first arrival to final departure and allowing fleets to specify exactly when rates apply during a load's journey, the BeyondTrucks TMS ensures more precise rate calculations and improves billing accuracy.

01:26 Drivewyze by Fleetworthy has partnered with ISAAC Instruments in an integration that gives ISAAC’s fleet clients access to Drivewyze’s Safety+ proactive in-cab safety notifications service as well as its PreClear weigh station bypass solution.

Drivewyze Safety+ is a proactive driving alert and context-based driver coaching platform that enables drivers to receive safety alerts on upcoming hazards along their route that pose a threat to themselves and the motoring public. Through the subscription-based service, drivers can receive audible and visual safety notifications through their ISAAC ELD. Drivewyze Safety+ is an extension of Drivewyze Free and offers additional safety alerts such as upcoming severe weather, high violation areas for speeding, high-risk areas for cargo theft and more.

Safety+ also adds back-office tools (geo-fencing) for fleets to create their own customized driver alerts, plus offers safety analytics to monitor driver behavior and improve driver coaching through the Drivewyze Hub. Drivewyze Safety+ requires no additional in-cab hardware and is delivered through the ISAAC ELD.

In addition to Safety+, ISAAC customers can access Drivewyze Free, which provides “always on” essential messaging, including heads-up warnings for high-rollover risk areas, low bridges, mountain alerts (steep grade ahead; chain-up/brake check stations; and runaway ramps) and rest area information (truck parking availability). The service also provides real-time traffic slowdowns and other safety alerts generated in partnership with select state transportation and enforcement agencies, NOAA and through the Drivewyze Smart Roadways highway safety program for connected trucks.

02:58 Bestpass by Fleetworthy has rolled out the latest version of its Toll Genius integration within the Geotab ecosystem that enables Geotab customers using Bestpass to access new insights regarding toll activity.

Launched last year, Toll Genius is a toll analytics and reporting solution that seamlessly integrates Bestpass and Geotab technology, helping fleets make data-driven tolling decisions and reduce costs.

Fleetworthy’s Chief Product Officer (Shay Demmons) said, “The latest integration introduces powerful new features designed to improve fleet efficiency and toll management. Not only can Bestpass customers leverage accurate vehicle data and GPS location through Geotab to match that information with toll charges received from their Bestpass account, but they can now access a detailed breakdown of toll miles by state and vehicle. This granular data enables precise IFTA reporting and in-depth cost analysis, allowing fleets to streamline budgeting and tax filing.”

Another new feature is an “optimization report.” This identifies the best-suited transponders for fleets, replacing expensive plate tolling with cost-effective transponder usage.

Beyond cost optimization, Toll Genius also helps fleets resolve toll charge issues. Customers can identify and investigate discrepancies, dispute inaccurate charges or violations and reduce disputes with drivers and customers.
