00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts features a new trucking podcast, a platform relaunch with AI-enhanced capabilities, an integration between a compliance software and a driver risk management solution and more.

00:25 Class8, previously recognized as FleetOps, has rebuilt its entire platform around AI-enhanced capabilities. The company, which directly integrates with OEM systems to process over one billion data points daily from 227,000 trucks, has rolled out its AI-powered logistics platform.

It offers carriers:

• Real-time dispatch optimization to enhance efficiency and response times

• AI-driven load matching to maximize profitability with the best job-to-driver fit

• Intelligent routing and scheduling to improve driver retention with balanced work-life schedules

• And predictive analytics, providing proactive decision-making in fluctuating markets

01:06 Haul, a provider of compliance, maintenance and safety software for commercial fleets, has partnered with driver risk management solutions provider SambaSafety.

This collaboration integrates SambaSafety’s driver monitoring capabilities with Haul’s compliance software, providing fleet operators with real-time insights into driver risk factors, compliance alerts and maintenance schedules in a seamless ecosystem. This combined functionality enables fleets to proactively address compliance issues, reduce the likelihood of violations and improve overall operational safety and efficiency.

This partnership will allow Haul customers to easily access and utilize SambaSafety's driver safety solutions within the Haul platform, enabling a single point of access for critical data. The integration supports fleet operators in meeting increasingly complex regulatory requirements and enhancing driver accountability.

02:01 Truckbase, a provider of trucking software designed for small fleets, recently launched a podcast exclusively for carriers.

The podcast, Trucking Tomorrow, offers insights and stories from carriers with their latest trends, innovations and personal journeys. In each episode, Truckbase CEO Bryan Jones sits down with industry veterans to discuss what it takes to grow a trucking company in today’s world, from cutting-edge integrations to making dispatch operations a breeze.

Available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify, the podcast releases new episodes every two weeks.

02:35 Logistics technology company Batch Freight has combined AI and quantum computing in its Advanced Trucking & Logistics Automation System, also known as ATLAS, a subscription base offering of its next-generation transportation management system.

Using advanced AI and quantum computing, Batch’s system prices 200,000 freight lanes daily across the U.S. Batch squeezes much more information from traditional sources than previously possible, allowing the company to provide carriers and shippers with the most up-to-date and competitive pricing information, enabling rapid and informed decision-making.

The technology offers pricing capabilities for specialized transportation modes including drayage containers, dry vans, refrigerated units and flatbeds. By providing more accurate and dynamic price quoting, the company is helping to reduce inefficiencies in the market, leading to better resource allocation and potentially lower costs for shippers.

BATCH has developed proprietary AI technology for reducing empty miles and carbon emissions in drayage, import and export shipping. This system optimizes container movements, significantly decreasing wasted trips and idle time at ports. By efficiently bundling shipments and coordinating pickups and deliveries, BATCH's AI not only cuts costs but also substantially reduces the carbon footprint of international trade operations.
