Transflo will acquire RMJ Tech’s telematics business, allowing the company to expand its footprint in the private and public sectors of transportation.

00:44 Fleet management technology provider Zonar is the first to be certified by the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Clean Truck Check (CTC) program for on-board vehicle emissions testing. Zonar can now offer its V4 telematics control unit and over-the-air emissions monitoring to customers. The program aims to reduce smog-forming and carcinogenic air pollutants produced by all commercial vehicles that travel through California, which CARB estimates to be over 1.8 million medium- and heavy-duty trucks daily. Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, any commercial vehicle traveling to or through California will be required to undergo testing twice per year via a handheld shop tool plugged into the OBD port operated by a certified technician; or an OBD device installed into the vehicle that automatically performs scans and sends the data over-the-air directly to CARB.

01:39 Transportation management system provider TrueTMS has rolled out a new feature in its TrueLiquid platform for fuel and liquid bulk transporters. The new feature, TrueCast, accurately forecasts customer demand and can automatically create delivery orders based on tank inventory data and trailer profiles. By modeling static or real-time inventory data, TrueCast helps fleets maximize delivery volumes and efficiencies while meeting customer needs at each location. The result is fewer deadhead miles and delivery stops, and preventing instances where drivers return with commodities in their tanks due to over-ordering.

RoadFlex uses three-point authorization systems to verify the vehicle, driver and fuel card at the fueling location to prevent unauthorized transactions and reduce the risk of fuel theft and misuse. The platform integrates with telematics systems to enhance fuel tracking accuracy and ensure fuel is dispensed only when all parameters match. The AI-enabled fraud detection system analyzes data, providing real-time insights into fuel expenditures and detecting patterns that may indicate fraud. The AI also helps identify anomalies and inefficiencies, such as excessive idling or suboptimal routes, providing opportunities for further cost reduction and optimized fleet operations. Instant control features allow fleet managers to monitor transactions in real time and set spending limits. RoadFlex also offers instant card ordering and virtual cards compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay to prevent operational disruptions. RoadFlex fuel cards are accepted at all fuel stations nationwide that accept VISA.
