CFI donationCFI employees donated $21,120 to various charities nominated by associates.CFIFor the 30th consecutive year, employees at Heartland Express (CCJ Top 250, No. 28) subsidiary CFI raised funds to support the needs of local charities and community service organizations.

This year, the annual Truckloads of Treasures giving campaign raised $21,120. Funds are raised entirely through associate donations. Over 30 years of the program’s existence, associates have donated over $1 million.

"Although CFI has been affected like all carriers in 2023, our professional drivers and support staff committed to showing up for our communities,” said Mike Norris, CFI’s Vice President of Finance. “It makes all the CFI leadership team proud to lead an organization full of people that never lose sight of the value of giving back. We are immensely proud of our associates and their generosity year over year.”

The campaign contributes to charities nominated by associates and benefits underserved families, children, and the elderly during December. Some eight charities based in CFI's headquarters of Joplin, Missouri, received contributions from Truckloads of Treasures this year.

The Truckload Carriers Association last week opened public voting for its TCA Highway Angels of the Year award. The annual awards program will take place at TCA’s March 2024 Annual Convention and will recognize three professional truck drivers who have demonstrated exceptional courage and courtesy on the nation's roadways.

This year, six finalists have been selected, and the public is invited to cast their votes to determine the top three drivers who will be crowned TCA Highway Angels of the Year.
