Meritor Mta25 Low Mount Trailer Suspension

Meritor’s MTA25 and MTA30 low-mount trailer suspensions, part of its MTA (Meritor Trailing-Arm Air) suspension series, are designed as part of a fully-integrated system to optimize performance and weight and are suited for vocational applications like single-drop flatbed, double-drop flatbed, loggers and chip hauler trailers. The models have an axle-wrap design and are available with an optional lift kit that raises select axles to help improve maneuverability and extend tire life. Available in painted or galvanized finishes, the lift kit can be installed as original equipment or field-retrofitted.

The pivot bushing is designed to absorb road inputs, resulting in a softer ride, more cargo protection and reduced stress on the trailer’s structure. The steel interleaf shims in the bushing help provide added fore-aft stiffness, aiding in improved axle alignment, better tire wear and reduced roll steer. A high-damping shock absorber helps provide improved road-to-tire contact and contributes to better braking and longer tire life. The system is integrated with Meritor trailer axles and Q Plus Cam Brakes.
