Delo 400 XLE 10W-30Chevron, today just before the opening of the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas, unveiled its new line of Delo 400 API CK-4 and FA-4 heavy duty motor oils (HDMO).

The new oils – formerly covered under the developmental blanket of PC-11 – will be available Dec. 1, and as part of the rollout Chevron says it will launch a new consultive advisor service to help customers select the best product.

The new Delo oils will feature Chevron’s next-generation ISOSYN technology, a unique combination of Chevron’s formulation expertise, high performance additive chemistry and premium base oils, that the company says helps extend the durability of critical diesel engine parts.

ISOSYN Advanced Technology enables increased durability through better oxidation control, anti-wear protection and piston control, while extending drain intervals compared to API CJ-4 oils.

A unique formulation of ISOSYN Advanced Technology, Chevron says, has helped optimize fuel efficiency for the FA-4 specific oils – lower viscosity oils slated for use in model year 2017 and newer trucks. Chevron’s API CK-4 oils will be backward compatible for older model year engines.
