The awards were presented during a ceremony at the International Motor Show IAA in Hannover, Germany.
Companies are awarded in six different categories: cost, fuel efficiency and innovation, project delivery, delivery, aftermarket and Total Value Management excellence. These categories represent the Volvo Group’s focus on developing products that support its vision of becoming the world leader in sustainable transport solutions. Tru-Flex LLC and Tenneco won for cost excellence and Donaldson won for aftermarket excellence.
“Even though the awarded suppliers work in different areas of our business, they all share some characteristics that are of high value for the Volvo Group,” said Dave Peters, Volvo Group vice president of projects and operations for the Americas. “They understand our needs and our customers’ needs, they are innovative, they are proactive and responsive, and they show a strong commitment to what we want to achieve together.”
