Thermal Solutions Manufacturing – a Nashville, Tenn.-based aftermarket manufacturer of heavy-duty and light-truck heat exchange products serving the off-road, on-highway and industrial markets through its 25 distribution locations in North America, Mexico and Central America – announced the acquisition of R&D Enterprises, a designer and manufacturer of engineered automotive, marine and heavy-duty heat exchanges.

Robert Potokar, president and chief executive officer of Thermal Solutions Manufacturing, said R&D has shown over the years the ability to see a design problem and to know immediately the most efficient way to fix it. “They have a successful history of working with many well-known OEM companies throughout the country,” Potokar said.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced. “While still providing our OEM clients the absolute best heat transfer products, we now can offer a larger network with more engineering and more locations,” said Rick Cox, founder of R&D Enterprises. “This acquisition has energized our entire company, but most importantly, it’s a huge benefit for our customers. We’ll be providing our engineering capability to a much broader customer base with a lot more financial backing.”
