Cadec Global Inc., a provider of in-cab solutions, and TMW Systems Inc., a provider of transportation management solutions to transportation and logistics companies, announced that the integration between Cadec’s PowerVue and TMWSuite is now available for managed release. TMW Systems leverages Cadec’s Web services integration option designed to be a faster and more reliable integration method that enables joint customers to deploy the combined solution more quickly and cost-effectively.
Cadec’s PowerVue helps extend back-office visibility into transportation assets, driver behavior and near real-time delivery information using onboard computers and software installed in each truck’s cab. With the integration, customer-specific workflows can guide the driver through pickup-and-delivery processes as planned by TMWSuite, which the companies say provides improved efficiency, productivity and convenience for both drivers and fleet managers by automating key functions in both planning and back-office processes.

The PowerVue integration is now available in September’s TMWSuite release to a limited number of customers. “Connectivity between the driver and operations is essential to improve efficiencies, utilization and customer service,” said Jennifer McQuiston, director of partner management at TMW Systems. “Integrating Cadec’s PowerVue in-cab solution with TMWSuite helps ensure essential data such as vehicle location, actual pickup-and-delivery times and hours of service are leveraged in near-real time by TMWSuite to optimally plan freight and assets.”
