Polar Service Centers, a national network of factory-owned parts and service locations for all makes of tank trailers and bodies with 30 locations across the United States, has opened a second, larger location in metropolitan Portland, Ore., specializing in parts, service and major repairs for all makes of bulk tank trailers and tank bodies.

“This is perhaps the best-equipped shop in the region to perform significant repair work on commercial tanks,” said Mike Evans, president of Polar Service Centers. “It also has the inventory to be the leading source of aftermarket parts for dry and liquid bulk tank trucks and trailers in the Portland area.”

Other services at Portland include CHM-183 and U.S. Department of Transportation inspections; tractor rig-outs and tank-trailer customization; and sales of new and used tank trucks and trailers. The facility at 6309 N.E. Columbia Blvd. is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and has six service bays.

The Portland location complements the Polar Service Center Express Shop in Vancouver, Wash. Less than 10 miles away, the Vancouver facility provides periodic tank inspections, maintenance and all-makes parts. Both facilities are managed by John Yazzolino.
