Bob Helms, chief executive officer of Pegasus TransTech, has been nominated for the Ernst & Young 2012 Florida Entrepreneur Of The Year award. Winners of the state competitions go on to compete in Ernst & Young’s national Entrepreneur of the Year contest.
At the same time in an unrelated competition, Pegasus TransTech has been nominated for the Small Business of the Year Award sponsored by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Pegasus TransTech has been named a semi-finalist and finalist in past Small Business of the Year competitions.
Helms was named chairman of Pegasus TransTech in April 2001. The following year the company introduced Transflo Express, a truckstop scanning service that provided a paperless electronic delivery model for quicker turnaround of proof-of-delivery documents.
