Reliable Carriers announced the selection of Xata Corp.’s XataNet X5 as its fleet optimization solution. Headquartered in Canton, Mich., Reliable Carriers, Inc. is a specialized enclosed vehicle hauler that transports properties such a: auto show vehicles, pre-production models, prototypes, clay and foam models, concept vehicles, engineering test vehicles, high-security properties, race cars, classic cars and high-end vehicles door-to-door across the United States and Canada.

Xata says the XataNet X5, which will replace MobileMax in Reliable’s trucks, will provide Reliable Carriers with access to the latest in-cab technology and features, including driver logs, navigation and mapping, GPS tracking and engine and driver performance data. XataNet also will provide two-way communications via a 7-inch Micronet WinCE color display mounted in each cab.
