TMC honors industry veterans

The Technology & Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Associations honored nearly a dozen industry veterans for their contributions to the council and the heavy-duty industry during a luncheon at its spring meeting in Tampa, Fla.

David Foster of Southeastern Freight Lines was honored with the Peggy Fisher Leadership Award for his work with the S.3 Engine study group. Ed Smith of Webb Wheel Products, Lilo Hurtado of ExxonMobil and Rod McNulty of Peterbilt Motors were named Recognized Associates for their participation in council events during their careers.

Alcoa’s Mark McCoy was named TMC’s Maintenance Supervisor Excellence Award winner, and Brian Mandt of Donaldson was presented with TMC’s Secretary Award.

Five retiring industry veterans also were honored for their service: Jerry Anderson of Daimler Trucks, Paul Greenlaw of Meritor, Dwight McAlexander of Volvo Trucks, Jim Smith of Alcoa and Ron Szapacs of Air Products and Chemicals Inc.
