Duane Tietz has announced plans to sell CrossCountry Courier and affiliated real estate properties to Janeanne Bischke, who has been the president and chief operating manager since 2004.

This transaction paves the way for CrossCountry Courier to further its mission to serve customers beyond their highest expectations, Bischke says, adding that service offerings and management structure will remain consistent. The transaction is expected to be finalized on or before May 31, 2010.

Established in 1980, CrossCountry Courier has grown from a one-man delivery service to a multi-million dollar, less-than-truckload transportation company with 300 employees and 200 company-owned vehicles. Based in Bismarck, N.D., the company conducts operations from 13 terminal locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

CrossCountry provides direct, expedited, transportation service in the 3-state area, as well as, portions of Iowa, Montana, and Wisconsin and nationwide service through its well-established partner network. The company specializes in providing value-added services such as distribution, on-demand, white glove, and asset recovery services.
