Schneider National announced that Duane Gingrich has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Schneider National’s Dedicated Services business. Gingrich’s career in the transportation and logistics industry has spanned nearly three decades, with 16 of those years spent within various business units of UPS and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
“More and more customers are realizing that Dedicated solutions – such as private fleet services, distribution services and specialty equipment – can make a lot of sense and create tremendous value for their business,” says Dan Van Alstine, senior vice president and general manager of Schneider Dedicated Services. “However, the process of identifying, creating and implementing the right solution can be intimidating. Duane excels at helping customers choose solutions that meet their need for control and flexibility while reducing both costs and management burdens.”
In his new role, Gingrich is responsible for understanding and anticipating the freight market, as well as what customers need and value. He also is charged with delivering the Dedicated Services solutions that best meet those needs. “Duane is a proven, respected leader who has spent his career creating and delivering solutions that are consistent with Schneider Dedicated Services’ market approach,” Van Alstine says. “We are thrilled to have him join the Schneider team, and we know he’ll drive solutions that deliver customer value and competitive advantage.”
