FedEx Express has expanded its FedEx International Economy Freight (IEF) and FedEx International Economy (IE) services to more parts of the world, providing U.S. customers with more reach when shipping worldwide.

FedEx Express now offers FedEx International Economy Freight from the United States to more than 130 countries and territories. Prior to this expansion, FedEx International Economy Freight was available to more than 80 countries and territories. In addition, FedEx International Economy service is available from the United States to more than 215 countries and territories.

“As the global marketplace evolves, FedEx continues to deliver vital solutions to meet the full range of customers’ international shipping needs, without compromising service or reach,” says Michael L. Ducker, chief operating officer and president of International for FedEx Express. “Opening up more destinations provides customers with reliable global coverage and a seamless experience around the world, keeping their costs down and increasing their competitiveness.”

Both FedEx International Economy and FedEx International Economy Freight are door-to-door customs-cleared time-definite delivery services that include competitive rates, delivery typically in two to five business days, 24-hour shipment status tracking at fedex.com and via e-mail, Customs clearance and a money-back guarantee.

“At FedEx, we are always looking for ways to deliver relevant, value-added solutions for our customers,” says Rajesh Subramaniam, senior vice president of international marketing for FedEx Services. “With the expansion of destinations for deferred services, customers now have opportunities to re-evaluate, improve and provide flexibility to their own supply chains.”
