Snowland Freight, a freight brokerage based in St. Paul, Minn., with offices in Green Bay, Wis., announced that it has adopted TransCore’s Logistics Software, a Windows-based transportation management system designed for brokers and 3PLs. TransCore says its Logistics Software runs both operations and finance, comes with business analytics and carrier rate calculators, and is highly secure for on-site and off-site personnel.

Snowland Freight has used TransCore’s transportation software since 1989 and recently migrated to Logistics Software. “Logistics Software is more than just Keypoint on a Windows platform,” says Joe Leuman, president, Snowland Freight. “It has all of the features that we relied on in Keypoint, so we are familiar with it, but there are so many new tools.”

The Dispatch Control Screen was a significant improvement in efficiency, Leuman says. “All of the information about my customers, orders and my carriers is at my fingertips,” he says. Customer profiles include credit limits and preferences, and the carrier profiles include equipment data, lane and performance history. That historic data was seamlessly migrated from Keypoint to Logistics Software, giving Leuman access to real-time analytic tools about Snowland’s operations, margins and profitability.

TransCore says Logistics Software enables Snowland to communicate more effectively with their carriers and customers, including e-mail carrier rate confirmations; it also includes a contact manager enabling Snowland to identify and enter all necessary personnel in order to send the right information to the right people.

“We’ve been with TransCore from the beginning,” Leuman says. “When I made the decision to migrate to Logistics Software, I knew the support would be there, and it was.”
