Volunteers from the trucking industry on Saturday, Jan. 30, helped to complete the final leg of the Wreaths Across America project. Waste Management Inc., the American Trucking Associations and industry volunteers worked to clear the wreaths placed at Arlington National Cemetery in remembrance to honor our fallen soldiers this past holiday season.

“Wreaths Across America has been a wonderful opportunity for the industry to come together and spread joy during the holiday season,” says Lisa Kardell, director of public affairs for Waste Management. “We are honored to participate in this event and to be able to help maintain the cemetery in remembrance of our fallen soldiers.”

This past December, hundreds of trucks departed from Harrington, Maine carrying deliveries of handmade wreaths as part of the Wreaths Across America program, which organized volunteers from diverse backgrounds and laid wreaths at various state and national cemeteries. These decorations served to celebrate and honor the sacrifices of American soldiers.
