Randy Schwartzenburg has been named executive director of Trucker Buddy International, an independent nonprofit organization that helps to educate and mentor schoolchildren via a pen-pal relationship between truck drivers and children in grades 2-8 as supervised by their teachers.

Schwartzenburg most recently served as director of national sales for the Digital Magazine Technology Division of Randall-Reilly Media. During his 15-year career at Randall-Reilly, he helped start and produce the Great American Trucking Show, eTrucker.com and America’s Traveling Truck Show, and worked as associate publisher of Truckers News magazine.

For the last six years, Schwartzenburg has served on the Trucker Buddy International board as its treasurer. “While serving on the board of directors, I’ve witnessed the passion for the program of our Trucker Buddies and educators and understand the importance of Trucker Buddy International within the trucking community,” Schwartzenburg says. “As with most worthwhile goals, it takes everyone working together for Trucker Buddy International to achieve the success it deserves.”
