Ed, Paige and Eddy Stahl, dealer principals of Stahl Peterbilt in Canada, recently were named Peterbilt’s 2007 Dealer of the Year at the Peterbilt Motors Co. Annual Dealer Meeting. Bob Hunter, dealer principal of Hunter Peterbilt in Smithfield (Uniontown), Pa., was named the truck maker’s 2007 Medium Duty Truck Dealer of the Year.

The Stahls – who own three Peterbilt dealerships in Edmonton, Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada – received the award for their Edmonton location. Since joining the Peterbilt dealer network in 2003, the Stahls consistently have provided excellent customer service that has resulted in year-over-year increased sales. Their philosophy of meeting and exceeding customer expectations has fueled the dealership’s success.

The Stahls’ Edmonton facility is one of the premier truck dealerships in North America. In 2005, they relocated to a new 75,000-square-foot building to showcase Peterbilt’s products and services. The state-of-the-art facility includes an indoor truck display large enough for two trucks, 2,200 square feet of parts retail display area, 25 service bays and an eight-bay body shop. It is located in Northwest Edmonton and is visible from the Trans-Canada highway.

“Stahl Peterbilt markets the full-range of Peterbilt and Paccar products, services and technologies for both heavy- and medium-duty Peterbilt trucks, which leads them to annual growth in truck sales and profitability,” says Bill Jackson, general manager of Denton, Texas-based Peterbilt and Paccar vice president.

During their five years as Peterbilt dealers, the Stahls repeatedly have been recognized as one of Peterbilt’s leading dealer groups. They have received four of the company’s Platinum Awards and two Best-in-Class Awards, as well as receiving the Medium Duty Dealer of the Year Award in 2004.

Hunter Peterbilt was selected as medium-duty winner based on its consistent support of the Peterbilt Medium Duty product throughout the year, resulting in increased sales volume and market share for Peterbilt. The Hunters’ exceptional marketing efforts, strong customer relationships and utilization of the St. Therese, Canada, manufacturing facility all contributed to their selection.

“Bob and his team are dedicated to support the entire Peterbilt product offering with complete solutions from Class 5 to Class 7,” Jackson says. “From the non-CDL Class 5 Model 325 to the more robust medium-duty Model 335 and Model 340, they truly market the full range to meet the medium-duty market’s varied customer needs.”
