Hillsdale Furniture, LLC has entered into an agreement with Greatwide Distribution Logistics, a national provider of non-asset-based transportation and third-party logistics, for a broad range of third-party logistics services, the companies recently announced.

The agreement includes transportation, warehousing, pick and pack, and order fulfillment for the Louisville, Ky.-based provider of a wide range of furniture and accessories, from bar stools and dining room suites to beds and bedroom furniture. The company delivers finished goods, packed in cartons, to all major retail distribution channels for furniture.

“The home furnishings business is extremely competitive, requiring us to be ever mindful of our costs,” says David A. Brill, chief operating officer of Hillsdale. “At the same time, though, customers have high expectations for both short delivery times and the final quality of the pieces and accessories they choose. Greatwide Distribution Logistics showed us that they understand what creates real value for us and our customers, and we’re looking forward to continuing to provide our customers the excellent level of service they have become accustomed to receiving from Hillsdale.”

The new agreement with Hillsdale engages Greatwide Distribution Logistics for two years. “As a result of the company’s wide variety of sales channels, Hillsdale Furniture has a complex, downstream supply chain with many different elements,” says Vin Gulisano, president of Dallas-based Greatwide Distribution Logistics. “We’re looking forward to leveraging the full range of Greatwide’s capabilities, experience and strategic thinking to support Hillsdale Furniture as the company continues to advance in the marketplace.”
