Ronnie Bertrand, an American Central Transport company driver, recently won $2,000 from the company’s referral program. In the program, $100 was placed in the fund for each new hire, along with the names of the drivers who referred them. A drawing was held to see who got the money.
Four other referral prizes — including the grand prize, a Kawasaki 2006 Mule 610 4X4 Camo — will be given away at a later date. In addition to being eligible for the prizes, each referring driver will receive a two-cents-per-mile increase in base pay for the next six months.
