‘Convoy’ singer talks to drivers about Crossing the Rockies

Crossing the Rockies, a free CD distributed by the Colorado Motor Carriers Association, features Bill “C.W. McCall” Fries, best known for his 1970s hit “Convoy,” talking drivers through the grades, curves and traffic on Interstate 70 from Denver to Vail.

The CD includes Colorado history and pointers on safety, courtesy, noise reduction, brake checks and chain-up areas. Mannheim Steamroller provided the music.
