On-Site Fuel Service — a provider of mobile fueling services to the transportation industry, utility companies and government service industries in the southeastern United States — announced the acquisition of the assets of Southern Fueling, a division of Central Oil of Baton Rouge, La. Terms were not announced.

Southern Fueling has operations in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Shreveport and Monroe, La. This acquisition expands On-Site’s operations to more than 106 tankers delivering fuel to customers in 12 states. The acquisition will be staged over a three-week period. On-Site anticipates retaining all Southern Fueling employees as part of the transaction.

“This acquisition is a logical move for both Southern Fueling and On-Site, allowing both of us to focus on our service strengths,” says Greg Nethery, founder and chief executive officer of Jackson, Miss.-based On-Site. “On-Site’s handheld technology and vast experience in the mobile fueling industry will ensure customers in Louisiana will be able to continue getting fuel deliveries in an efficient and consistent manner. The acquisition will increase our coverage in our existing market footprint.”

Last April, On-Site acquired the assets of Shell Fueling Services, which had operations in Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta and the Florida cities of Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando. Shell Fueling Services was a division of Shell Oil’s Motiva Enterprises
division.
