Tripmaster Corp., a supplier of onboard electronic recorders and support software, has announced a marketing partnership with FreshLoc Technologies, which specializes in technology solutions for protecting assets within the food supply chain. FreshLoc’s patented, wireless in-transit temperature monitoring and recording system will be added to Tripmaster’s offerings.

FreshLoc’s Freshsync in-transit data-logging system was designed for short- and mid-haul fleets and operators with deliveries at multiple stops, such as convenience stores or restaurants. “The local and regional range of operations, immediately prior to reaching the consumer, is the most vulnerable point in the cold chain,” says Dick Fettig, executive vice president of FreshLoc.

Tripmaster customers now have access to Freshsync to automatically protect their fleets’ perishable products. Benefits include reduction or elimination of loss from spoilage, reduced fuel costs, measurable quality control and improved supply chain velocity, says Richard Geib, president of Tripmaster. “The challenges our fleets face continue to increase,” says Geib. “We are proud to partner with FreshLoc and be able to offer our customers a next-generation temperature monitoring solution that both increases performance and reduces costs.”
