Chevron Products’ Lubricants University website has introduced a training course entitled “Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Lubrication,” designed to provide fleet and dealer mechanics and individuals involved in lubricant sales with an understanding of the role lubrication plays in diesel engine operation.
The module is a self-study Web-based program designed for individuals interested in expanding their general lubrication knowledge. The course details the oil’s path through, and its role in, each area of the engine and will help diesel mechanics and maintenance supervisors learn the fundamentals of parts and operation, lubricant-related potential problems and lubricant performance specifications.
Open to the general public, the cost per course is $59.95 and may be purchased by credit card through the Chevron Fulfillment Center at 866-758-2378.
