Bijur Lubrication Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of centralized lubrication systems and components, has announced the availability of its ChassisCare SureShot manual centralized lubrication system for commercial trucks. The company introduced a similar system for trailers earlier this year. The product will be assembled and shipped from Bijur’s plant in Kinston, NC.
The SureShot for Commercial Trucks manual lubrication system is Bijur’s third offering in the commercial vehicle market, and builds on the success of its manual and automatic kits for trailers. King pins, drag links, spring shackles and tie rods can all be greased from one location. The SureShot for Commercial Trucks system is offered as a series of “modules” – for the front left, front right and rear axles. This module ordering systems allows more flexibility with different types and manufacturers of trucks.
As with the other available SureShot products, each module comes with a lubrication distribution block, pre-filled grease tubing and various connection fittings and tubing ties. It is permanently installed on an accessible area of the truck frame. A fifth wheel module is available as well for the top plate and pivot points.
“The feedback we have received from customers has been tremendous,” said Thomas W. Arndt, President and COO of Bijur. “Owner-operators and fleet managers helped us capture the need for this type of product. Since our technology is flexible, we were able to quickly adapt the components to the commercial truck market.”
Modules available with the ChassisCare SureShot for Commercial Trucks manual system include:
- Front left: 10-point system
- Front right: 10-point system for steering, 8-point for non-steering
- Rear: 4-point system for single axle; 8-point for tandem axle
- Fifth wheel: 6 and 8-point systems available, depending on truck requirements
“We feel we have a very unique niche with this product line,” Don Schaefer, Bijur’s Mobile Product Manager said. “We provide a better and faster method of greasing a truck for the owner-operator or fleet manager. Why search for 30 lube points, when you can just use three or four?”
