Diesel price edges up again

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel set another record for the week ending March 28, edging up a half-cent from the previous week’s record price, to $2.249.

The average price was up in every region tracked by the U.S. Department of Energy and was up more than a penny in New England, the Rocky Mountains and the West Coast.

On average, diesel was most expensive on the West Coast at $2.483 a gallon and least expensive on the Gulf Coast at $2.182 a gallon.
