Flow-Rite’s Qwik-Fill On-board Battery Watering System replaces the standard wet-cell battery caps with a pair of three-cell caps designed to allow the cells to be filled evenly with ease. Installation is quick and requires only a pocketknife or pair of scissors. The 8-foot filler tube can be cut and located where convenient.

Ken-Tool’s two-piece Pitman Arm Puller Combination Set comes in two sizes. The pitman arm pullers provide a smooth steady pull, the company says. The tools are drop forged and heat treated to provide extra strength and durability.
PROTECTIVE FILM
UltraShield offers durable protection for rental fleet vehicles with paint protection film manufactured by 3M. Professionally applied to vulnerable painted surfaces such as the front-end, wheel wells, door edges, mirror housings and rear bumper, the film helps guard against damage from stone chips, salt, sand, bugs and weathering. The virtually invisible urethane film counteracts harmful UV rays and features a clear coat that matches those of OEM paints. The transparent film will not change the appearance of the vehicle and can be removed, if needed, without damage to properly cured paint. UltraShield warrants its installed film for four years against cracking or yellowing.
PSI OPTION
Rhino Hub is now available with a PSI option making it available for use with PSI air inflation systems. RhinoHub is easy to install, eliminates bearing repacking, keeps dirt and water out and allows the grease level to be easily checked, the company says.
COMPACT A/C
Tundra’s new small, lightweight auxiliary air conditioning system contains all components on a single compact chassis that can be placed under a bunk or in a closet or cabinet. Discharge air can be ducted to one or more grills discharging into the cab or sleeper. The closed loop of refrigerant requires no additional charging at installation. The systems are offered in 7,000-, 10,000- and 14,000-BTU capacities. The 10,000- and 14,000-BTU units have a built-in 2.0- or 2.5-KW heating strip.
COLD WEATHER AIR COIL
Phillips Industries’ new Polar Air cold weather coiled air line features a heavy-duty jacketing that allows it to remain flexible to -85 degrees F and offers corrosion and abrasion resistance with superior recoil memory, the company says. The Polar Air is equipped with an extended brass handle, which adds increased leverage for easier connection to the glad hand.
SEALED PLUG PROTECTS WIRING
Phillips Industries’ new Quick Connect Plug (QCP) assembly has molded connectors that block contaminants such as magnesium chloride and other invasive winter de-icing chemicals from entering the front and rear of the plug, thereby improving electrical performance. The QCP features a replaceable cartridge with floating, machined brass pins that insert into a completely sealed cable.
NEW AXLE ASSEMBLIES
Ridewell’s new axle assemblies can be used with the RUL-245 Bantamweight Auxiliary Lift Axle Suspension Series for vocational truck and trailer applications. The rating of the base axle is limited to 12,000 pounds (bearing capacity). Ridewell’s Bantamweight RUL-245 Series offers lightweight, compact units designed for limited-space chassis mountings.
APU WITH AUTO FEATURES
Auxiliary Power Dynamics’ Willis Auxiliary Power Unit starts up when the truck’s parking brake is set, automatically providing power to all systems powered by the main engine. It automatically shuts down when the engine is started. The APU contains an alternator, an A/C compressor and a heat exchanger and pump for heating and circulating coolant.
SHOP AIR HOSE
Imperial’s Flexeel reinforced polyurethane shop air hose is flexible, lightweight and durable. It retains flexibility from -40 degrees F to 165 degrees F. It is more abrasion resistant than PCV or rubber hose, resists oils and greases and is UV stabilized for longer outdoor service life, the company says. Flexeel is 1/3 the weight of rubber shop air hose, and it will last four to five times longer than standard rubber shop air lines under normal use, the company says.
TANDEM AXLES
Dana Corp.’s Spicer D190 series of single-reduction tandem drive axles targets vocational applications such as construction, logging, refuse, mining and oil field operations. The family of axles has gross axle weight ratings from 52,000 pounds (D52-190 model) to 60,000 pounds (D60-190 model). The axles feature broad ratio coverage – 3.42 through 7.17.
MICRO INVERTER LINE
Xantrex Technology’s new line of XPower Micro Inverters connect to a 12-volt DC power system and provide 175, 200, 400 and 800 watts of AC power. All models provide automatic shutdown protection against overload, over-temperature and low or high battery charge conditions. They have a one-year warranty.
REDESIGNED GOOSENECK TRAILER
Rogers Brothers has redesigned its Fixed Gooseneck Series. The models feature a 30-degree gooseneck incline. For more loading area, add the optional full-width gooseneck or motor grader ramps. Also available are hydraulic rear loading ramps to further facilitate loading.
FLATBED FORKLIFT
Transcraft Corp. has introduced a forklift kit as a factory-installed flatbed option. The kit accommodates most forklifts on the market.
IMPACT SOCKET EXTENSION
American Torque Tool’s Torque-Tube extensions deliver the power needed to loosen the most stubborn bolts, the company says. Patented tubular construction and alloys give the extensions the strength to transfer power from the impact wrench to hard-to-reach bolts. Torque-Tube extensions fit 1/2-inch impact drives and can be purchased individually or as a set.
Lock system for Knaack chests
Knaack Manufacturing’s Watchman IV lock system for the company’s Storagemaster and Jobmaster storage chests and cabinets and rolling workbenches requires only one padlock for two-point, dead-bolt latching. The new lock system works with a wide range of padlocks, as long as they meet the requirements of the instruction label.
